1. Grant of Rights

The Author(s) grant the Publisher the following rights:

1.1 The non-exclusive, worldwide right to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, and archive the Author’s work (the “Work”) in all formats, including print and electronic.

1.2 The right to license others to reproduce, distribute, and display the Work in whole or in part for academic, educational, and research purposes.

2. Copyright Ownership

2.1 The Author(s) retain ownership of the copyright in the Work.

2.2 The Publisher is granted a license to use the Work as specified in this Agreement.

2.3 If open access is selected, the Work will be published under the appropriate Creative Commons license.

3. Retained Rights by the Author(s)

The Author(s) retain the following rights:

3.1 To use the Work for teaching, presentations, and educational purposes.

3.2 To deposit a preprint or accepted manuscript version of the Work in institutional repositories, subject to the Publisher’s embargo period, if any.

3.3 To reuse portions of the Work in future publications, provided that proper acknowledgment of its original publication with the Publisher is given.

4. Author Responsibilities

The Author(s) agree to:

4.1 Submit an original Work that does not infringe upon any third-party rights.

4.2 Ensure that the Work is not under consideration for publication elsewhere and has not been previously published.

4.3 Obtain all necessary permissions for any third-party material included in the Work and provide proper attribution.

4.4 Cooperate with the Publisher during the editorial and production processes, including revisions, formatting, and proofreading.

5. Publisher Responsibilities

The Publisher agrees to:

5.1 Manage the peer-review process with fairness and confidentiality.

5.2 Publish the Work in a timely manner upon acceptance.

5.3 Ensure that the Work is properly indexed, archived, and disseminated to maximize visibility.

5.4 Provide clarity on any applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs) or other publication fees.

6. Open Access and Licensing

6.1 If the Author(s) opt for open-access publication, the Work will be made freely accessible online immediately upon publication.

6.2 The selected Creative Commons license will govern the use and distribution of the Work.

7. Warranties and Representations

The Author(s) warrant that:

7.1 The Work is original and does not infringe upon any third-party rights.

7.2 All permissions for third-party content have been obtained.

7.3 The Work does not contain any libelous or unlawful material.

7.4 The Work does not violate any ethical or professional standards.

8. Indemnification

The Author(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Publisher against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from a breach of the Author’s warranties or representations.

9. Termination

9.1 This Agreement may be terminated by mutual written consent of both Parties.

9.2 The Publisher may terminate this Agreement if the Author(s) breach any material term of this Agreement.

Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in England and Wales.

Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Parties concerning the publication of the Work and supersedes all prior agreements, whether oral or written.
